BROOKLYN- The Columbia Boys Bowling team beat Hudson yesterday in a baker roll-off game held at the Brooklyn Lanes.The Eagles lost both baker games to start the day but still were able to scratch out a win.
In individual games, Josh Blecha bowled a 191 and Cameron Palmer rolled a 180 to pace the Eagles in the game #1 victory. Elijah Newton edged his opponent by just 2 pins while teammates Dan Yonkers (197) and Palmer (199) won their games to give the Eagles a 7 pin team win and a 15-15 tie.
The baker game roll-off came down to the final 2 bowlers with Cameron Palmer throwing a final frame strike to seal the first team win of the season.
In girls action, the Lady Eagles fell to Hudson 21-9. After dropping both baker games, the girls came back to win the first individual game, 640-628. Briana Riker (147) and McKensi Raab (141) led the charge. Cami Emerson bowled a 149 in game #2 but it wasn’t enough as they dropped a 643-591 decision to the Lady Tigers.
