BROOKLYN- The Class B girls basketball district finals at Columbia Central were determined last night. Chelsea and Onsted each reached the finals with easy semi-final wins.
In game one, Chelsea led from start to finish in a 41-24 win over the Lady Golden Eagles. A 13-1 first quarter deficit doomed the Eagles who finished the season with a record of 9 win and 12 losses. Cameron Daniels and Lyza Myers each scored seven points to pace Columbia Central.
Game two of the evening saw Onsted pull away in the third quarter enroute to a 56-31 win over the Maples of Adrian High School. Taylor Hutchinson of Onsted led all scorers with a fifteen point effort.
Chelsea and Onsted will square off Friday at 7 pm for the district championship. The game will be played at Columbia Central High School and doors to the public will open at 7:00 pm. Admission is $5.
