Ida Flexes Muscle

BROOKLYN-  In the final conference games of the year yesterday, the Ida Lady Bluestreaks showed why they are atop the L.C.A.A. standings as they swept the Lady Golden Eagles in softball action. Despite 6 strikeouts by Abbey Hatler and three hits by senior Cami Emerson, the ‘Streaks racked up a 13-0 win in game one.

BROOKLYN-  In an L.C.A.A. make up doubleheader last night, the Lady Eagles used an 8th inning RBI single from freshman Lexi Horsfall  to score the game winner in a thrilling, 5-4 comeback win.  The Eagles trailed 4-2 heading into the bottom of the 8th but put together a three run rally for the win.  Abbey

ERIE MASON-  The softball journey to Erie Mason ended with the Golden Eagles falling twice to the Eagles of Erie Mason on Tuesday. Birds Battle to a Split

BROOKLYN-  In a battle of feathered mascots, the Lady Golden Eagles and the Jayhawks of Vandercook Lake split a softball doubleheader yesterday afternoon. In the opener, Vandercook Lake outhit Columbia Central in an 8-2 victory.  Senior catcher McKenzee Tompkins picked up a pair of hits for the Golden Eagles with a single and a double.

Softball Earns a Sweep

BROOKLYN-  The Lady Golden Eagles got into the win column last night with a pair of conference wins over the Lady Hornets of Hillsdale.  With the victories, Columbia improves to 2-4 on the season. Eastern Michigan Bound

Senior Columbia Central softball standout, Abby Hatler, this morning signed her national letter of intent to become an Eastern Michigan Eagle.  The senior pitcher/infielder for Coach Kevin Miller was surrounded by teammates, coaches, classmates and family during the signing ceremony held in the school media center.
